About Us

Howdy! We are the Hays County Young Democrats also known as HCYD or Hays YD or HYD. (People love acronyms.)

We are Democrats aged 14-40 years old spread throughout Hays County. The purpose of Hays County Young Democrats is to foster the ideals and assist the national, state, and local candidates of the Democratic Party who are endorsed by this organization. We are to educate the community and increase participation in the political process.
